How
much is a tattoo?
Our hourly rate ranges from $80 to $100, depending on
size, location and detail. We can usually give you a price
on a specific piece (if it is not too big and is already
drawn up), but we have to see the picture first.
How
do I make an appointment?
We require a deposit. Deposits usually run from $20 to
$100, depending on the price and time set aside for the
tattoo.
Can
I make an appointment from out of town?
Yes, but you must contact the shop and e-mail a design, or
have some idea of how much you are planning to spend. You
can put up a deposit by money order or placing a credit
card order over the phone. If placing a credit card order
by phone, you must bring the card at the time of your
appointment.
Can
my minor get a tattoo?
No, in Texas you must be 18 or older to get a tattoo.
Do
tattoos hurt?
Yes, sometimes. Some people do not like the way they feel
and tattooing does break the skin. Size, location and your
own pain threshold are factors in how it is going to feel
to you. If you want a tattoo, get what you want and deal
with it. It will all be over soon.
Can
I just walk-in and get a tattoo?
Yes, but we cannot guarantee that you will get in right
then. It may be then or later in the day, or you may have
to make an appointment. Appointments are always best, so
you can get it when you want it. But, we always welcome
walk-ins.
Am
I going to catch something?
No, not here, anyway. We only use tattoo needles once, and
they come pre-made and sterilized from the manufacturer.
We also us disposable tubes which come pre-sterilized from
the manufacturer and they are also disposed of after each
tattoo. All other equipment is cleaned and sterilized in
an autoclave to at least 250 degrees and at least 15psi
for 30 minutes. In that environment, nothing can survive.
Our autoclave actually runs hotter and faster, and our
sterilizers have been spore-tested by Enviro-Tech
Laboratories to ensure that they are working properly. All
work surfaces are disinfected with a cold sterilizing
solution that kills bacteria and viruses that could cause
harm to the client or artist.
Will
my tattoo fade?
Tattoo inks are manufactured to a higher quality than in
the past. If a tattoo is done right and properly taken
care of, it will stay bright for a lifetime. Things like
keeping it out of the sun, using sun block, and having a
quality artist do your tattoo play major rolls in your
tattoo's lifespan.
Can
I bring a picture from home?
Yes, we encourage our clients to bring in anything that
can move us in the right direction in coming up with a
piece that fits you. We can tattoo just about anything.
